As a graduate student in electrical and computer engineering (MSECE) at Lawrence Tech, you will have an opportunity to learn from and work with our faculty whose research has been funded by corporations as well as the national foundations. You will become accustomed to analyzing, interpreting, implementing, writing and talking about the latest techniques and technologies, while putting them into perspective, always aware of professional issues such as ethics and lifelong learning.

Lawrence Tech faculty  will help you sharpen your skills in all aspects of computer and electrical engineering so that you can take your place in this vital field and create next-generation products, services and information systems, continuing to fuel our technology driven world.

Two Degree Options:

  • Coursework only: requiring 16 hours of core courses and 16 hours of technical electives.
  • Coursework plus thesis: requiring a combination 20 credit hours of any of the core and technical electives courses, plus a ten-credit-hour thesis for a total of 30 credit hours.

Courses are offered in late afternoon and evenings for the convenience of working students.

Dr. Nabih Jaber

Department Chair and Associate Professor

Dr. Jaber’s interests focus on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), wireless communications, coding and information theory, Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC) vehicular systems, smart grid power line communications, sensor networks, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems/Autonomous Vehicles (ADAS/AV). He is also interested in test-bed implementations, and innovative simulation system designs.
